Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed by the label's first female artist for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. Her first EP, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released on Dreamville Records. She began to gain fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. The album was released in May 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her tracks on the internet in 2012 after she dropped her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. In 2014 she continued to release her music on the internet, including her self released single Bound. On 21st of July 2015, Omen included her in Elephant Eyes song"Sweat it Out.. Later that year her music circulated all over the Dreamville group as J. Cole wanted her to work with him on some possible references for Rihanna. The 8th of December was the day she confirmed that she had been contracted to Dreamville Records. The singer appeared on the collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. On the 21st of October in 2016, her EP Pho was released. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and performed as an opening act on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. In 2018, she performed in two tracks, including EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. On July 16 2018 Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream from her debut album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanied music video on September 5. Her second single, Grampa on November 9. Then, in November 2013, she released No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released in her debut single February 26, 2019, to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured alongside Cole in the Creed II sound track on November 16. The track was accompanied by a music video that was released on February 20, 2019, and it surpassed the milestone of 3 million views via YouTube within its first seven days. In December 2018 the singer was a part of the From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
